One Word: Baby Driver is a brilliantly power packed movie with impressive actions, cute romance and fun comedy which turned out to be a must watch action thriller.
The plot of the movie tells about young talented driver Baby (Ansel Elgort) relies on the beat of his personal soundtrack to be the best in the game. After meeting the woman (Lily James) of his dreams, he plans to change his shady dark lifestyle and make a clean break. Coerced into working for a crime boss (Kevin Spacey), Baby faced the music as a doomed heist threatens his life, love and freedom.
Baby Driver is a perfect example for a power packed action movie. The way the story unfolds allows every viewers to keep engage and thrilled to an edge seat thriller movie level. Music is the core heart of the film as Baby uses it as a way to get through his life even when on the getaway driver duties. There are good scenes where the dialogue is perfectly synced with the perfect music soundtrack. Baby Driver features some of the best car chases that the cinema has seen in years which is brilliantly astonishing. Baby Driver is fully fun and thrill packed with variety car chases, bank robberies, and a driver that uses music cues to help him focus to the mission. The movie brilliantly works as a musical and it all worked perfectly in their own way. The action and car chases are exciting and plenty throughout which makes the viewers engaged and thrilled. So Baby Driver stands for a pure work of cinematic grade and with it’s sense of style Baby Driver is one of the most unique experiences that every viewers can get in the real aspect of cinema.
The director Edgar Wright did a fantastic and brilliantly executed job with this film. The entire direction was passionate and the director had given his best and convincing ideas for a engaging power packed action movie. The director had also won in maintaining the real characteristic identity of the central character Baby which was strong and intelligent and also Edgar Wright’s Baby Driver is thrillingly paced throughout in all manner which builds a kinetic energy as each chase sequence rises its magnitude leaving all the viewers thrilled on the edge of their seat. Totally Edgar Wright’s direction turned out to be a brilliantly executed action movie and also the story by Edgar Wright is interesting, fast paced and unpredictable. He had written the entire script beautifully and takes the viewers to the core of the story by all the entertaining factors. The screenplay is also relatable and the characters had given a proper standard, not at all overly developed, the entire characterisation was authentic and genuine which was really impressive. The cinematography by Bill Pope was really classy, all his shots of car races and chases were outstanding and the editing by Jonathan Amos and Paul Machliss was also crisp and clear.
Another aspect of the film that elevates its impressive level is the soundtrack, Edgar Wright expertly utilises for not only the major chase sequences, but the smaller scale scenes too. The song choices are inventive, smart and used impeccably well. Every song works so well, especially the song Tequila accompanying a shootout or Hocus Pocus playing over the film’s major chase sequence which was beautiful.
Coming to the performance Baby Driver features an impressive casting. Ansel Elgort was really powerful and strong to do the main lead central character. His performance was yet another important plus factor of the movie. His unique style of actions, crazy thrilling drives and romance will definitely conquers the heart of the viewers. Lily James female central character was really good, all her romance with Ansel was engaging and all their romance had worked out perfectly. Jon Hamm, Jamie Foxx, Kevin Spacey, and Eiza González did their respective roles brilliantly well and portrayed their mentally unstable killers were conveniently and convincingly well. Jamie Foxx was brilliant as the sly and distrustful Bats. Kevin Spacey commanded the scenes in as Doc and he was really best in today’s non-actor works. Eliza Gonzalez was cute and the cuteness was also seen in her acting, her actions and situational fun counters were interesting and impressive. Jon Hamm was excellent as Buddy, his negative shade was surprising, all his actions sequences towards the climax were extremely powerful. The entire casting was totally brilliant.
So overall Baby Driver is constantly a best thriller action comedy pack movie which keeps the viewers to understand how they gets deliver both the fun and intellectual touch of packed entertaining elements. So don’t think much grab the tickets for Baby Driver soon and witness the most entertaining coolest unique film of this year which is completely a must watch.
